Leave a comment

To automatically start an application is pretty simple on a raspberry. This step by step guide will show you how to do so.

If you have Chromium already installed, you can skip Step 1. Otherwise you’ll need to open your terminal.

1. Type the following command:

sudo apt-get install chromium-browser

2. Still in the terminal type:

sudo leafpad ~/.config/lxsession/LXDE/autostart

You will be asked to enter your admin password.

3. Leafpad will open, add the following:

@chromium-browser –kiosk www.quaintproject.wordpress.com

This prompt will open chromium in Fullscreen-Mode you will be guided to this website. If you want you can change the link.

4. Save everything

5. Restart

6. Enjoy 🙂

Cheers Alex
